Welcome to another four days of Southern Golf Association golf and fellowship! We have new participants this year in the 2026 SGA Cup! Welcome to Matt Murcko and Brad Hofford! I would also like to welcome back both Brian Beaty, Joe MacFarlane and Mike Piacesi! The SGA Cup has grown to 24 golfers for the first time ever! Tee times will begin at 9:00 AM each day and I ask that 1st thru last group show up prior to the 9:00 AM tee time. Our promptness and organization is vital for all to enjoy our golfing event each day. We ask that all golfers are at their cart no later than 15 minutes prior to your tee time!
A few items for all:
Karl and/or Huck will send out the rooming list via EMAIL as soon as we receive the door codes. Arrival is Friday the 28th 4:00 PM
Once again we will ask for $75 upon arrival and make sure we hand you a bag tag to make life easier at bag drop.
We will email the daily foursomes and an * will denote the person in charge of identifying bags for your group. Person in charge will place our color-coded sticks into each golf bag to speed up our cart loading process with the attendants at the golf course. New folks, or those who have not attended will be worked in after first day.
CHANGE FROM 33 years! Karl and I will distribute all monies following the last round on Tuesday.
Use of the Golf Genius program/app! Karl and I purchased the week-long Golf Genius program to use for our SGA four day event. Everyone should download the Golf Genius app on their phone! We will send out the code in the morning before each round. Groups can input scores and you can see a LIVE Leaderboard of our competitions! Only one person in each foursome needs to enter scores in Golf Genius. ALWAYS WRITE DOWN THE GROSS SCORE! Scorecards will be printed and placed on one cart in your foursome for Days 1 and Day 2. Days 3 & 4 (SGA Cup rounds) each cart will have a scorecard. THE PAPER SCORED CARD IS YOUR OFFICIAL SCORE. It's always safe for the other cart to keep score on the golf course scorecard in case a card is missing/lost on the course. Our games are all net games. The dots on the scorecards denotes stroke(s) for each hole. Again, ALWAYS WRITE DOWN THE GROSS SCORE! We will collect scorecards and the "official scores" will be checked with the Golf Genius app scores in the evening. RESULTS FOR EACH DAY WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE!
RAIN CHECKS - as always, in event of cancellation of a round, rain checks will be held until the following year. A player must play the following year to be awarded the rain check.

Game will be Two net on the Front 9 and Three net on the back nine. In case of tie, lowest back nine score will be 1st tie breaker. If still tied, then lowest front nine score.

Game Will be "1, 2, 3" net Best Ball score(s)...score one best net Best Ball on #1, best two net Best Ball on #2, best three net Best Balls on #3...then start over on #4 with one best net Best Ball, best two net Best Balls on #5, best three net Best Balls on #6 and so on through all 18 holes. In case of tie, lowest back nine score will be 1st tie breaker. If still tied, then lowest front nine score.
